About Life Support Japan

Life Support Japan is a global effort by photographers and galleries around the world to raise money to support those affected by the earthquake and tsunamis that struck Japan on March 11th, 2011. Money being raised from these joint efforts will be donated to Direct Relief International (www.directrelief.org) and Habitat for Humanity Japan (www.habitatjp.org).

Life Support Japan began when Crista Dix of Wallspace Gallery and Aline Smithson of Lenscratch decided to get together to do something to help and reached out to the photo community via a Facebook group. Hundreds of photographers have already donated Limited Edition prints with all proceeds from online sales going to Direct Relief and Habitat for Humanity. Over $20,000 has been raised to date.
